Julieta Gomez de Mello

Associate Attorney

Julieta is an Associate Attorney who concentrates in commercial litigation. Julieta represents businesses and individuals in a variety of litigation matters, including complex business litigation, appellate practice, intellectual property, and probate litigation. Julieta is also experienced in employment law, immigration, and personal injury.

A Cuban native raised in Miami, Julieta completed her undergraduate studies at Florida International University, where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in English Literature, a minor in Music, and a Certificate in Translation Studies.

Prior to joining GLG, Julieta worked at law firms in New Jersey and Florida, successfully litigating complex commercial litigation and high-exposure cases for large corporate clients. In addition to working in the private sector, Julieta worked as a Staff Attorney for South Jersey Legal Services, Inc., a non-profit organization based in New Jersey, in their Migrant Farmworker Unit, handling wage and labor disputes. She also clerked for the Honorable Rodney Cunningham in the New Jersey Superior Court, Atlantic County.

In addition to being a member of the Florida Bar, Ms. Gomez de Mello is also a member of the New Jersey Bar, earning her JD from Rutgers University School of Law, where she competed in a national Moot Court competition, served as the Vice President of the Rutgers Intellectual Property Law Clinic and was the recipient of several prestigious scholarships, including the South Jersey Alumni Scholarship and the Chief Judge Helen W. Nies Intellectual Property Law Scholarship.

Julieta is very detail oriented and prides herself on her commitment to the highest standards of ethics and professionalism to ensure that clients will receive individualized attention and have their concerns addressed with integrity and in the most optimal fashion.

In her free time, Julieta is an avid traveler and art lover who enjoys attending live Opera performances, visiting museums, and spending time with friends and family.
